How it works
Your computer, your Google account, your data.
Most gym software keeps your members on somebody else’s server and rents them back to you. FitKliq is built the other way round. Here is exactly where everything sits.
The three pieces
1. The app, on your PC
A desktop application for Windows and Mac. It keeps a full local copy of your gym’s data in an encrypted database on that computer, so the front desk never waits for a network. Everything you do - admissions, renewals, receipts, reports - happens here first.
2. Your Google Sheet
At setup, the app creates a spreadsheet and a small backend script inside your own Google account. That is your gym’s real record, and your other computers and phones read and write through it. Medical answers go into a separate restricted sheet.
3. fitkliq.com - licence only
This website holds your business account with us: your name and email from Google sign-in, your gym’s billing details, your orders and invoices, and which computer each licence is on. No member ever appears here.
What happens when the internet goes
Nothing stops. Admissions, payments, receipts and searches all run against the copy on your computer. Changes queue up, and the moment a connection is back they are pushed to your Google Sheet - in order, without duplicates.
The licence works the same way. The app checks in with us once a day, and carries a signed licence that stays valid for 15 days offline. If a gym genuinely has no internet for longer than that, the app warns first and then goes read-only until it can check in again - your data is never held hostage.
Several computers, phones at the desk
Each desktop needs a licence
One licence covers one computer. Add the second desk or the owner’s laptop as an additional licence; all of them talk to the same Google Sheet and see the same data.
Phones and tablets are included
Pair a phone with a licensed desktop and it is included - not an extra licence. It reads and writes through your gym’s own backend, exactly like the desktops do.
Wondering what happens to all this if we disappear? That is answered honestly in the FAQ.
